Independence Community Theater’s annual Youth Summer Theater Camp in 2026 was “Shrek The Musical Kids”. While working for two and a half weeks, singing songs, learning choreography, and building friendships, our campers, through their characters of Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and fairy‑tale misfits, discovered that true beauty comes from within.

We’re proud to have taken on a musical celebration of friendship, courage, and embracing what makes us unique. Because that is what theater is all about.
